Membership Information


The South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") is an international non-governmental organization jointly addressing security threats and challenges facing the region. It aims to leverage Yunnan's geographical advantages as a window and bridge connecting China to South and Southeast Asia, promoting the construction of the Kunming Central Legal District, and strengthening the legal framework oriented towards South and Southeast Asia. Through enhanced communication and cooperation among alliance members, the overall advantages of the security service industry will be fully utilized.

I. Membership Requirements

1. A willingness to join this Alliance;

2. Possessing a certain level of influence within the Alliance's business (industry) field;

3. Acknowledging and signing the "Kunming Declaration", and abiding by the "Alliance Charter";

4. Legally possessing market entity qualifications in their respective countries or regions, eligible to apply as a unit member of this Alliance;

5. Individuals with certain social resources and the ability to coordinate, willing to contribute to the Alliance's development and possessing legal capacity, may apply as individual members of this Alliance.

II. Application Procedure

1. Complete the membership application form;

2. Submit the membership application form; unit members submit legally registered legal person qualification certificates, and individual members provide relevant materials as required by the Alliance;

3. Submit relevant materials to the Alliance liaison office in the respective country for preliminary review. After passing the preliminary review, submit them to the Alliance Secretariat for final review;

4. After approval by the Alliance Secretariat, a membership notification letter and membership certificate will be issued.

IV. Membership Fee Standards

According to the provisions of the "South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance Charter", to ensure that the Secretariat and relevant liaison offices of the South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") can legally conduct international and domestic business, member units must fulfill the obligation to pay membership fees in full and on time every year. The membership fee standards for Alliance member units and individuals (approved at the closed-door meeting of the first congress of the Alliance on May 28, 2024) are as follows:

(I) Applicable Objects

Unit members and individual members of the South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance.

(II) Membership Fee Currency

Membership fees are settled uniformly in US dollars.

(III) Membership Fee Standards

The Alliance's membership fees are divided into four levels for units and individuals: USD 20,000 per year for chairman units; USD 10,000 per year for vice-chairman units; USD 1,000 per year for group members; USD 500 per year for individual members.

(IV) Payment Methods

1. Membership fees for member units shall be paid to the account of the South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance Secretariat. The Alliance will issue unified receipts after receiving the fees;

2. Member units shall pay membership fees annually, starting on January 1 each year, with the closing date being December 20;

3. If a member unit meets multiple fee standards or participates in activities of multiple branches, the "higher rather than lower" principle shall be adopted for payment once, and no duplicate payment is required;

4. Member units shall pay membership fees in the year of joining. Member units approved before June 30 shall pay the full amount, while those approved after July 1 shall pay 50% of the full amount;

5. Alliance branches and subordinate units shall not independently set membership fee standards or independently collect membership fees;

6. If there are special circumstances, separate regulations shall be made, subject to approval by the Alliance Members' General Assembly;

7. The Alliance Secretariat will publicly announce member units that violate the "South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance Charter" and owe membership fees. After deliberation by the Alliance Congress, they may be expelled.

V. Membership Fee Management

1. Membership fees collected by the Alliance Secretariat shall be used for the necessary expenses of the Secretariat in conducting business and industry service activities for all members, as stipulated in the "South and Southeast Asia International Security Alliance Charter";

2. The Alliance Secretariat shall formulate financial management regulations, hire a treasurer, accountant, and cashier, strictly abide by the financial regulations, and strengthen financial management and supervision;

3. The Alliance Secretariat shall report the use of membership fees, as well as the budget and settlement, to the members' general assembly annually, and accept the supervision of all members on financial matters.
