On March 19, 2026, the 2026 Asia-Pacific Security Conference was successfully held in Seoul, South Korea. Zhu Junkun, President of the China Chapter of the Asia-Pacific Security Association, President of the Yunnan Province Flying Tigers Research Association, and Chairman of Flying Tigers Camel Hump Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd., attended the conference and delivered a keynote address, issuing a significant initiative to the security industry across the Asia-Pacific region to establish a regional “Flying Tigers” security cooperation framework.
This conference brings together representatives from South Korea, China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, and other countries and regions to jointly explore new avenues for cross-border security cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.
In his speech, Zhu Junkun reviewed the heroic history of the World War II “Flying Tigers,” who crossed borders to provide emergency assistance and safeguard peace. He emphasized the need to carry forward the Flying Tigers’ spirit—“cross-border support, fighting side by side, putting lives first, and fulfilling every mission”—and, in light of current cross-border security challenges in the Asia-Pacific region, called for accelerating the establishment of a regional Flying Tigers–style security cooperation framework to deliver round-the-clock, professional security services to individuals and organizations operating across borders.
He pointed out that no single entity can effectively address all-encompassing risks, and fragmented protective measures cannot ensure collective security. The Asia-Pacific region urgently needs a modern security force that is rapidly responsive, capable of cross-border coordination, and professionally reliable. With regard to system-building, he outlined four core priorities: upholding security traditions; establishing a unified and efficient command-and-intelligence system; deepening international security cooperation; and steadfastly honoring round-the-clock security commitments. These efforts will integrate security early warning, coordinated dispatch, and cross-border support, making safety tangible, dependable, and sustainably safeguarded.
Zhu Junkun stated his commitment to working hand in hand with colleagues from across the Asia-Pacific region to carry forward the “Flying Tigers” spirit, pool security resources, and jointly establish a modern, region-wide, coordinated, and highly efficient security cooperation framework. Through round-the-clock, all-encompassing, and fully comprehensive professional security services, they will build a robust security shield for cross-border personnel and organizations throughout the Asia-Pacific.
